3/8 NPT female to male QC - dultmeier

Sorry for posting a bunch, but dultmeier told me they wouldn’t have these for 6 months to a year. That was 2 months ago. Other than local hydraulic shops they have the best prices. If you need them probably not a bad idea to order while they have them.

I wish I’d ordered 20 instead of 10. The males need to be swapped out so frequently.

I buy them local too, really cheap

Why are you changing them so frequently? I haven’t been having any issues with mine. Just curious if I should be looking out for something

Look at yours. when they slam into the ball bearings in the female QC they flare out one side of the male QC and get progressively less quick to connect. If you let them go too long trying to disconnect or connect them into the female is like a wrestling match between the Ultimate Warrior and Ric Flair.

Why not just shove it down with a pair of pliers?

Shave*

I’ve never seen one shaved down with a pair of pliers, but I can only imagine that’s probably not great for the o-rings if it’s how I imagine. So I either just swap it or constantly change o-rings. I’m curious to see what you mean… because what I’m picturing may not be correct.

Also, I’m a chronic over-maintainer so stuff gets swapped and oils get changed probably earlier than is usually necessary.

Battery powered dremel will clean up a plug, maybe twice then replace. I always train guys to have a bight of the hose in your left hand to prevent strain on couplers & plugs. Plugs & sockets are cheap keep 50 of each or so on hand.

I keep 100 quick connects on hand…jk, I thought this was a quick connect measuring contest

Waiting on my Dultmeier catalog for 3 weeks now.

So you know how that little lip that builds up right here, if you just take a chanilox and grip tight enough that you have traction but loose enough that your not loosening it you can grind that edge down and it’ll work as new again.
