Which one would you guys use to run a 8 gpm and a 5.5 gpm machine ? You think a 250 gal tank would work ? Or try and shoot for 325?
Depends on your water supply. I use 125 gallon tanks for 2 eight gpm machines. One truck has a 65 gallon tank feeding 2 eight gpm machines.
Have you ever hook those tanks up to city water ? Or just hydrants ? Going to try and look at the price and dimensions Of the two about to start a new build
I have a 330 and if I have a slow water supply sometimes it doesn’t keep up. 95% of the time it’s fine. Running both machines I wouldn’t go any smaller
Majority of the time I’m on hydrants. We don’t do much residential, but when we do we hook up to two faucets on the house and hope for the best
I use 2 225gallon tanks with two 8gpm machines.
We have a pretty simple rule . If two people are pulling water then two lines needs to be filling the tanks .
Yeah I might just go with the 325 … I just hate to waist space on my flatbed if a 250 would be fine …
Are you traveling with water or empty (give or take 50 gals) ?
The totes are roughly the identical size between the 275 and 325gallon, plus are cheaper and about 48inL x 39inW, vs a 67inL 38inW 325 legtank.
Ive got two 275 gallon tanks mounted right now. Only plan on using both if I have a big job or need remote water.
Are usually travel with water
Trying not to use a tote might go with a leg tank to mount on my flatbed truck
Much safer without a square tote.
Why is that? Just curious
No good way to secure them, square tanks cause more water surge than elliptical tanks.
The way the water sloshes. I’m either full or empty. I only feel it if I’m in between
Run the 225 full if your doing mostly residential. If you are doing more commercial or doing new construction and didnt have live water supply id go bigger. Doing new construction cleanups I have to fill up at hydrant sometimes 1/2 mile away or more cause the house water isnt on yet.
I have 8 stainless u bolts securing mine, but I would think the straps would be best.
@Kps0410 I used that drainage/flex hose hack to stop the sloshing. It got rid of 90% sloshing. I can ride at any level but I find the truck rides best at half full.
Are you talking about the black pipe that goes on the bottom of downspouts
Yea. I don’t remember the proper name but thats it.
