Thinking about converting to a 2 gun cold water washer mostly to save on space in our current rig. The only washer i was able to find was a northstar hot water running over 11k and from reading the reviews, its not very quality either. Anybody have any tips on brands or where to look?
I’m certainly no expert, but I’m pretty certain you can run as many guns you want off any pressure you want. It just divides your flow each time. Obviously I haven’t done it, but I believe that’s the simple mechanics of it.
i did see a setup with a 3/8 T-fitting into a pump then 1 quick connect on each side to split the pump. I wonder what type of GPM we would need to handle that!
@upstatepressure It would totally depend on your demands. I have a T after my burner with a ball valve on either side of the two to quick connects. That way I can run just one and shut the valve off to the other or run both. As far as what GPM think of it this way…A lot of people here say that 4 gpm is the bare minimum that you would need. With this logic if you wanted to run dual wand then you would need at least an 8 gpm pump. So ie- you have an 8 gpm pump at 3000 psi, if you T it then you would have 4gpm at each wand at 3000 psi, just have to select the proper nozzles for that setup. Then if you were doing a job that required more water you could shut one off, switch your nozzle and just run the one wand and be back at 8 gpm at 3000 psi.
