I have a simple one man operation and havent done any roof cleanings. A client of mine wants me to clean their 1700 sq ft house shingle roof. Low pitch. No gutters and a screened in pool out back. I have a 4gpm unit, 100 g tank, and ds hw chemicals. Would I be able to wash this roof with my set up?

Not sure if you mean you have a 4gpm battery powered pump or pressure washer. DO NOT use a pwer on a roof! You need a roof cleaning pump for that. Call Bob @ Pressure Tek and he can set you up.
Also you can’t downstream chems to clean a roof. Gotta mix a little stronger for that.
Also you need a ground guy helping keep everything wet.

Thanks for the input Jeff. It is a 4gmp pw. Why wont my chemical injector ds roof mix? Would my mix be more sh than I would use on houses, plus cling on? Would it be too thick to draw? I could get a ground guy. He would just wet down the ground where my runoff is?

I did a fence once with a pump sprayer and figured out very fast I needed a better, more efficient way to deliver my soaps at the right strengths. down streaming or pump sprayers have limitations. When you downstream it’s usually a 5:1 or 10:1 dilution with water, unless you x-jet. To use 12 1/2% SH and dilute it by either ratio, it just won’t be strong enough to clean the roof. My solution was to pickup the bandit roof system from PressureTek so I can deliver the chemicals needed at the exact strength necessary for whatever project I approach. I use it for roofs, and tandem with my power washer for decks, and on heavily soiled/moldy concrete.
