1in manafold supply reel

Im about to pull the trigger on a 1in stainless manafold kings 18in reel for my supply to my ibc. I want to see if anyone has made this jump and is it worth the 1060$ price tag. Shipped. (I got the stack kit and some fittings) but im always waiting on water and wanting to upgrade my flow. Current set up is 1/2 general pump 18in reel with 2x 100ft 3/4 flexzilla. Going right into the ibc. I deleted my hudson float years ago. That was the worst thing I ever spent money on. But I plan on buying 200ft of 3/4 ag hose going to a kings 1in manafold then going to 1in clear hose right into a drilled hole at the top of my buffer. I dont care if im over flowing. Ide rather overflow than be short. But has anyone made the jump to 1in manafold. And is it noticeable enough to pay 1000 bucks

I don’t remember what I paid for my Titan 1” electric reel, but looking back it probably wasn’t worth the extra cost. 90% of the time I still bypass the reel because my hoses are on camlocks and I don’t see the point in pushing through 200’ of hose if 100’ will reach.

Going with 3/4” hose and camlocks will do more for your flow rate than a fancy reel, imo.

Editing to add: you might have more luck with the Jobe Topaz valves. Personally I think letting tanks overflow looks pretty unprofessional. But that might depend on your market area.

Also, adding a flowmeter to my rig has actually been really helpful, as well. Tells me right away whether the water is going to keep up or if I need to dual feed and/or plan breaks (my buffer tank is tiny).

It depends on your flow, which I don’t think you mention in your post. If you’re using a 6-7 gpm 12v pump, a 1/2” manifold is fine. If you’re trying to move lots more through a an air pump or 110v booster etc, … I’d go 1” manifold.

I’ve personally only used Titan reels and have been happy.

I’ve got a 1in huge coxreel with 200ft of 3/4 Apex teknor neverkink hose. I could add 100ft more if needed. Works fine. quick reeling. I use 9.5gllon. 65g buffer. Gonna prob use my bigger tank soon. since I have one. I could run out.of water for sure.
