19 ft fiberglass trailer

I’m being asked by a friend to wash this 19 footer for one of his family members. Is this something I can downstream a degreaser like Red Raider or do I need to upstream? I’m not planning on getting into fleet washing or anything, but I just don’t want to damage the trailer…

Do you have any experience upstreaming?

Not at all… And the truck washing thread is pretty intimating to get into with 2000+ posts… This is coming from someone with days of reading time.

Then don’t even consider upstreaming. I’m not trying to be a jerk or anything but you don’t even know how much you don’t know about upstreaming.

Pump sprayer, 12v, XJET. Pick your poison and figure out how to achieve your ratios.

Oh, I believe you. If it requires upstreaming, I was going to politely tell him that I won’t be able to wash it. This one isn’t exactly gonna be about money, so I am trying to see if I can help him with the setup I already have for house wash or not.

That really should be a real thing. If someone tackles AND completes that thread. I imagine that thread was derailed a few times at least. Again, I am always curious, but I have resisted the urge to open that thread.

It’s been a long day and I guess you added the picture after my initial comment but I didn’t even realize you were talking about a camper lol

He’d be better off taking it to a detail shop and having them clean it up. Or, better yet, take it to an RV dealer and have them clean it. Most Camping World/Gander RV locations have wash bays where they detail units. Or you can go by an RV store and pickup some of their soaps and give it a go if you just want to fool around.

It’s a fun ride.

You’re probably going to have to pull out a brush. Most fleet guys either brush or two step. Even @Hotshot use to brush until he started two stepping.

I almost wish I could take back reading that rubber scrubber thread…lol. There’s some great info in it but it goes from Broke Back Mountain, to a down streaming dog wash, to Hotshot being naked in a pumpkin. There really is a lot of great info though. You’ll learn a ton about fleet washing.

I’m not sure you would bother with anything more than a bucket of warm soapy water and a brush on a one off job like that. You sure he didn’t mean a full in and out detail. That’s a little bigger than a decent sized truck people wash in there driveways, I’m not sure it needs any expertise brought it.

Its easy. If its organic/ green, Hw mix, If its road grime 2 step or brush it.
