12v pump suggestions

Hard to beat a NT pump for the money, but I’ve never tried one of their bleach units. No need, the regular ones last fine. And why get a pump in the box. How much is that option now?

I think that’s about what they go for wherever you can find them.

Pump in the box was an additional $99, so $262 after taxes and some hose connections to plumb it. The are running a free shipping promo for another day or so on orders $49 and above.

dang, didn’t know that, shipping normally kills any kind of deal they might have. Gotta go look now.

Thanks, went to the site, but he doesn’t sell the PA turbo nozzles anymore, just the suttners. Don’t know why.

Speaking of 12v pumps… my 5.5 gpm with just 100 feet of 1/2 inch hose doesn’t even come close to the height & distance I get with a 4 gpm direct drive in any scenario. Zero comparison. Has anyone ever tried using cheap PW pumps for softwashing? Just rinse the internals afterward like usual? I’ll bet that 4 gpm belt drive @dcbrock just picked up for $250 would soap up a roof like nobody’s bidniss AND it came with a free GX390. What am I missing here?

I had a situation this afternoon where I DS’ed straight 12.5% with my 3.5gpm on a bad side of a house today. Cleaned up the stubborn mildew quite nicely. Sun was going down, it was about 44 degrees out, I was on the shady side of the house and I wanted to wrap it up as quick as I could.

PW pumps are strictly designed to use water only, the internals are highly reactive to bleach. That’s why they came up with a Honda powered AR 45, or air powered system that is made of plastic.

y, I loaded up on Elemonator. Real good deal on it because shipping is usually about $30+ for each fiver. I’m good thru Spring now.

You know, I’ve always wondered about that. Say on average you were pulling 4% mix. That’s not like too bad. I bet if you flushed it for a couple of min as soon as you were done, it would last you for awhile. Maybe run a little bleach neutralizer thru it and then flush or people winterize with antifreeze and I’ve heard people say they soak their injectors and other stuff in anti-freeze to prevent corrosion so you could run a little of that thru system. You could flat knock out some roofs. Even if it only lasted for a year or so, probably as long as most 12v and definitely as long as most AR pumps. And a 4gpm pump cheaper than an AR pump all day long. GP 4 gpm less than $400. Would probably need to replace unloader at the same time. I think we should nominate @dcbrock to try it.

Oh no, this machine is strictly for resale. I’m hoping to get at least $1000 in the spring during peak season.

How much is the pump for it going to cost?

On the belt drive? Pump works fine. Only thing left to do is straighten the axle.

I also have a bead on a GX390 with a bad pump but the guy won’t reply back to me for some reason.

So you’ll make a profit of $750 as a Craigslist special. How long would it take you to make $750 putting that hot sauce cannon to work?? You could run 2 buffer tanks with a check valve & a ball valve on each one connected at a T. One tank for normal use, the other one for SH & downstreaming would also replace your current SH tank. Come on @dcbrock! Light it up dude!

What on earth are you talking about😆. I already have my setup.

$450 for an AR RG2125HN 5.5 gpm. It’s 1450 rpm, so you’d be around 6.6 gpm if you put it on a gear box. Nickel plated head, stainless valves, ceramic plungers.

There are many used GXs on the market. Maybe you should pick one up and blow our minds!

I have 2 spare GX390’s in the garage but I’d run higher HP for such a rig that way it could run a surface cleaner as well. I’d rather invest in my next pump haha.

You would surface clean with that setup? Save up and tell us how it goes
