I’m pretty fed up with current bleach gun options, ball valve, Suttner plastic gun etc. I’m warming up to the idea of a Suttner 2700 just because it has a trigger guard so if/when it gets dropped on the ground I don’t have to worry about bleach getting splattered on something. I could also switch it out to spray concrete sealant.
If I flush with water after using how long do you think it would last with the SS internals?
Edit: For the heck of it I hooked up a spare 2315. The plastic gun did 5 gallons at 1:30, the 2315 at 1:35. Yes it’s somewhat less free flowing but the distance is almost the same.
Have you tried a ball valve style garden hose sprayer? This is what I use:
It’s a bit heavy, but that’s because is extremely well built and comes with a 10 year warranty. There are cheaper options similar to this from Dramm. I have one of those too, but the thumb control on the Eley is super smooth and easy to move, so I prefer it.
Crap, didn’t think about that for a normal 12v setup. I’m not running SH through it, so I can’t tell you how well it will hold up for you. I would think as long as you rinsed it after using it, it would be fine. The Dramm one I’ve tried is a plastic ball valve inside, so it should hold up fine. The connections are brass, but not the inside.
A nice benefit of these style spray guns is that you get more flow and distance. In my setup, I saw about 2-3 feet more vertical height switching to this style over a traditional pistol grip style.
@dcbrock
I’ve been using the spray gun assembly, with jrod, that I picked up at my local Northern Tool.
I can’t seem to find the exact wand as a replacement item on their website, but I know I simply just grabbed it off the shelf a few years ago.
All the replacement ones I’m seeing on the website have the input in front of the trigger guard. The one I have has similar input to our typical wands with it coming in at the base.
They are dirt cheap and when my gun craps out (lasted all last year and a third of this one) I just swapped same brass hardware onto another new one. No trigger guard but I’ve not had many issues with it spraying crazy.
I appreciate the suggestions, really just trying to find a gun with a protected trigger. @Nickski That Dramm looks promising, can you send me a list of the fittings you used so I can get it to work with a quick connect?
I have an injector between mine and my j-rod. But, you just need a G3/4 to npt adapter, then your quick connect. Might need a reducer or nipple too depending on what fittings you find.
