So I ordered a 125 gal buffer tank from RomoTech and come to find out, it says it has a 3/4 inch bulkhead fitting! ( I thought it was two inch, and I asked the guy at Tractor supply what the size was, on the same tank)
Surely they are mistaken? A 3/4 inch bulkhead fitting on 125 gallon tank?
Do I need to ream this out to 1 1/2 inch for a 5.5 gpm or 8 gpm machine?
I realize the input on these machines is only 1/2 inch, but I was planing on a 1 inch barb on the pump, is this wasted effort being the pump inlet on these is really only 1/2 inch??!?!?!?!?!??
You want a 1" line running to your pump. I would put a 1.5" bulkhead fitting, esp f maybe going to run an 8gpm off of it at some point
I would assume a suction 1 inch id line to the pump and put a 1 inch barb on the pump inlet? And a one inch banjo style y filter?
yes. Though I like the blue top filters, not a big fan on the y filters. Just personal preference
You prob didn’t specify the bulkhead size you needed.Go with either a 1.5" as Racer said or do a 2". Take it back to them it will take them less than 30 mins to do it. Or you can do it yourself.
Blue top filters? Have a part name for that?
I have a mesh filter on the supply reel input, just wanted another filter on the tank output.
Thanks for your response.
Not sure about blue top filters , but just about any Water T strainer will do. Zoro has these banjo ones with clear top. Makes it easier to see when they need cleaning.
Cool, do they need to run that way (orientation) or can they be run “upside down” ? if you know what I mean. So you can unscrew the filter with the in/out against the trailer bed.
This is one you want and yes they should be run upside down - see note below pic
Awesome, thanks. You have been helpful
Take a look at this and see if it is helpful. I know next to nothing but I read a lot to try to change that.
