1/2" hose or 5/8

I’m planning on building a dolly soft wash setup with a 30 gallon drum for starts after doing some research and small jobs with pump sprayers. Would a Delavan 5850-201E be good and buying one here i think I read there modified a little stronger for SH? Should I use 5/8 hose? Plus can I use a RV/marine grade polymer blend hose burst pressure 450psi with aluminum fittings I already have?

1/2" is plenty for a 5 gpm Delavan

Would a 5/8 hose use up cleaner too fast from a 30 gallon? Or would 1/2"just be hard on that pump and make it harder to clean a roof? Or maybe I should buy a smaller pump.Would I be disappointed using a smaller pump for roofs?

1/2" hose is good enough for at least double of what your pump is capable of.

The volume of the 5/8’s hose would create excessive column pressure when cleaning multiple story projects. This back pressure on the pump could cause it to fail prematurely.

Again…1/2" hose is all you need for a 5 gpm pump.

Got it thanks
