Hello to anyone reading this.
My name is Mitch Meier. I live in Seabrook, TX and I’m 46.
After serving in the U.S. NAVY, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do - but I sure knew what didn’t want to do.
I didn’t want to find myself in a position with a “fixed” amount I could earn. If you take a job for $20/hr, and unless they give you a raise, you valued your maximum
earning potential at $20/hr. unless you get some overtime, that’s it.
Time is the coin of your life.
You choose its value and how to spend it. Think hard.
I knew I always wanted to work for myself because I wouldn’t ever be content with mediocrity.
So I decide to start a business. But what?
I decided on pressure washing because Houston’s sub-tropical humid climate was always growing Green & Black algae, mold/mildew, and lichen back on everything from our roof to our vinyl siding and back on our sidewalk & driveway every year like clockwork.
I was asked by my sister to do her house because she was putting it on the market and it badly needed to have it’s ‘curb appeal’ restored.
As I was finishing up the work, her neighbor approached and asked me to do his this weekend because it too had serious growth all over.
After I walked his property with her, I told her a price and she accepted.
Even though now, 15 years later, I look back knowing my quote was ridiculously low.
But what I remember the most is how fantastic I felt when she handed me that $100 bill for 3 hours of work!!
I’ve been passionately hooked ever since 2003.
So that’s how it happene for me.
