Wont suck water from tote

Elbow on the inlet isn’t hurting anything, the pump will still draw and flow what it’s designed to. On the outlet side is a different story.

doing what i mentioned, the pump will definitely work and draw water as designed. i don’t like to repurpose fittings like that.

Yellow hose is fine. Doesn’t have anything to do with your problem. What have you tried? Did you get working yet? All the suggestions you’ve gotten, most could have been done in less than an hour.

I have a full time truck driving job over the road. Im home one day a week. So i cant try any suggestions till then.

Gotcha. Be safe out there.

Mine do the same thing when I try to running it through a TOTE even after I fill up with water, a home spigot it does fine because of pressure. What mine has is what I call a whip hose or bypass hose. There is air in the line like every one says… I disconnect the whip line coming from the pump(quick disconnect) while it’s running & it primes every time.

did the tiote have a vent?

Remove the filter and see if that is your problem or at least the screen in side of the filter. that filter might be all clogged up or rusted.

Yup, the 12" screw vent on top.

if that fancy talk for the word “lid”?
