Will someone with experience please help me choose a PW supplier?

Some people have success if they tinker with them. I think they have to change the bypass hose size. I have found it is much easier to use a bulletproof pressure unloader and just pull the trigger slowly. Same result for me.

My new machine has a k7 and I think it uses either a 3/8” or 1/2” bypass line (I’ll check later) but I don’t have any problems downstreaming, then again I’ve only done it on two machines the first one being a 19 year old all American. Not sure what I would be looking for problem wise?

You would definitely know if there was an issue. It would pulse rapidly, starting and stopping bypass flow.

Any issues with your power washer being constantly exposed to the elements ?

Mine sits outside all the time. Only thing i noticed is oxidation and if not run for awhile it will sputter due to gas sitting in bowl, but you can always run it dry. Maybe the pull string can go bad. I dont have a electric start sitting in elements to give a rundown on.

Mine stays under cover

Mine are all open to the elements and it sucks. I’m gonna remedy that though by getting an enclosed trailer or box truck soon.

So the 8 GPM mobile units can NOT be used with regular spigot b/c normal pressure is only - 5 GPM? They would need a buffer tank, correct?

Yes…

Thanks Displaced

Even 5.5 gpm unit is really not an option without a buffer tank.

Can you share whether your bypass line from the k7 was 3/8" or 1/2"? Thanks in advanve.

3/8” is usually what I’ve seen on them, depending on your bypass orfice size. I’ve heard some run even 1/4” line when having problems pulsating. The bypass port should be one size smaller than the inlet (pressure port) I believe. So…anyways, take care.
