Who I'm Dumping and Why

Too much work, always trying to squeeze in one more property to make some manager happy, knowing you have pretty much every day booked for years with no chance to get away. I subbed out everything for the last two months, quit answering my phone and it has been a peaceful, healing time. I’ve paid the crews every week and they haven’t worked 5 days since Dec 1st. I just don’t want to deal with it now. We will start back first of February and I’ll deal with all the calls and emails then. Just holding back the flood now. It’s been peaceful and I want more of that. I could run a store for. Landa guy but I don’t want much more to do with washing than what I do here. This is my outlet. I wanted to go to Montana and live off-grid, or move to South America but now or house holds to many memories to move. So, my outlet is taking my sons to our cabin. I think I would go crazy without some type of job so I’m trying to figure out what would be no stress and enjoyable.

@Innocentbystander your really blessed to be in such a situation. I hit a roadblock aswel few years ago just got overwhelmed with the whole business and wanted to throw the towel in and no one really understood me, they think your living the dream but behind the scenes you feel like an employee to the corporates sometimes with no days off and even stressing on days off. You strike me as the sort of guy that can make any venture successful be it selling hotdogs or udors .

Brothers, this sounds like the opportunity of a lifetime for some enterprising newbie in NC. I know for a fact the my mentor @Racer in upstate SC would like to train and subsequently sell HIS business within the next several years. I put a shirt-tail relative on this opportunity who is local to Rick and although he did a great job with me for a day, crapped out with Rick the very first day by not showing up. Nothing kills like not showing up. With a competent work ethic and intelligence, almost everything else is fixable.

I’m working to master the marketing side of things and subsequently hope to franchise areas and then develop the marketing around the franchisee, but that’s still a year down the road.

Good luck to all!!!

(Now, can we please get this thread back on track?)

You letting go of any work in GA, I’d be happy to pay royalties…hospital and chemo bills have sucked us dry.

That’s the funniest thing you may have ever posted. Had to wipe the tears from my eyes so I could see the keyboard to respond.

WHEW!!!

I actually like talking to people if it isn’t about washing. Kinda why I wanted to be a barber. I’d like interacting with folks buying hotdogs I believe. I go to nursing homes and talk with the residents there. Lots of cool people around with interesting stories.

@Innocentbystander, I really didn’t like you very much 2 1/2 years ago when I joined this community. You mercilessly picked on me, were extraordinarily generous to me, and now moved me with your humanity. The grumpy curmudgeon has certainly grown on me. Sir, you are certainly more than the sum of your parts, and now most difficult for me to dislike.

Well, you know that I don’t care if you don’t like me, but I do care that you do. Ponder on that for awhile

I’ve been trying that this year just to calm my nerves after a long weekend of dealing with all the crazy, Its been helping alot to just sit back a little, reevaluate and test new things without ppl and employees up your crack.
Good idea @Patriotspwashing
