Search for “The Most Basic Softwash Setup”. It’s a thread I started and it’s literally about the cheapest you could throw something together and it works like a charm. Is it perfect? No. Does it get the job done? Absolutely. That will give you an idea of where to start.

Lmao you guys a brutal, I fully understand I can build a 12v much cheaper, the pump is under $200. By the time you price the hose, reel, prop, pump, gun, complete setup, you’re saving $500. With a newborn and another job, I’d prefer to just do 1 more house. To each their own.

I don’t understand what you mean exactly but I also have a young one and I understand money doesn’t grow on trees. Save up and build yourself a cheap set up for $500-$700. 1-2 roof jobs will pay it off. Just research the proper way to wash a roof and you’ll be good to go

Hey man we have all been in your shoes you gotta start somewhere. But what do you really gain for 500 bucks they do the same thing. Do some research buy some equipment and go make some money if you do enough roofs and want to upgrade then have at it.

Since you have the time you can buy it piece at a time over the winter. That way it won’t hurt the pocket so much.
So what is that mess up on the roof now. Was it moss or lichen. You can’t rinse lichen off. Why are you rinsing? You don’t need 6%. You do need to do a lot more reading. The side you show in pic with proper equipment would be about a 30 min job. Would take longer to unroll our hose and set your ladder up than to spray it.

I would unfortunately have to pass due to my current insurance coverage. However, I’d at least be upfront about it instead of risking it. I’d probably also help you find someone else to do it.
