What to expect upgrading to a 5.5gpm machine?

Probably not commercial, but at this point who knows. There is another very large PW company in town that usually handles that stuff.

It’s frustrating that Honda doesn’t make a GX500 or similar to better bridge the gap. A 6gpm/3500 would be nice…for around $2500.

Just go all out and get an all Diesel Landa hot water and be done with it.

Can I use your Visa for that?

I have that unit and really like it. it’s great on concrete and with a k7 it’s easier on my arms.

I have a 5.5g 2500. It has worked well for me

I went 4x4 to 5.5x2500. Doing a driveway alone you won’t see a time advantage really. Do a whole house plus concrete and I knocked about 30-40 mins off. Here in S Texas the 5.5x2500 cleans residential concrete just fine for me with a pre and post if it’s really bad. I just went 7x3500 for more flow. The orifices I’m using I’m still not really Making more psi than I was with the 5.5. The difference in flow is night and day though.

How rough is it to do concrete with 5.5 x 2500?

Not crazy hard. I still do small back patios with mine if I dont want to start my other machine but if its super dirty itll take you more time and need a good pre and post treat

Do you usually leave the post treatment on with no extra rinsing?

I did all my concrete last year with a 5.5 2500. I would just lay down 4% pre treat. Rarely had to post treat.

Always leave the post treat no need to rinse

Unless you need to seal.

What ratio of SH to water do you use for post personally? do you add scent too or no?

Typical just a house mix strength with my 5.5GPM. Probably 1-1.25% since I’m DS’s straight 12.5%. Occasionally I’ll need my roof system for a stronger post treat. Maybe 1 out of 15 jobs.

Yeah I was going to use 12v for roofs then just downstream my 12.5% for pre and post using my downstream off of my PW, surface cleaning inbetween but I’m getting a 6.8 so I’ll need to figure out how to get around 1%

You’re right, my fault I dont seal so dont generally think about it

Just gonna sneak this in, I post treat at around 2-3%, your DS won’t do that. The 12v lays it down nice and even, no overspray and little waste
