Dry yet lets see the pics
Yes it’s dried, tot to late last night. Had to head home being I wake up at 2am, I will take some pics this afternoon when I get off work.
So the concrete got lighter, Although it still looks to be kind of stained, and a spot where dirt was sitting for a bit kinda has a different shade of almost brownish yellow, not sure how to remove it. And also he moves his grill to different areas of the patio area for different occasions when cooking so the grease is always spillin to different spots and I had no results of that being removed any recommendations? And he has a swimming pool that sits in that flat area that’s what that circle is from, maybe that brownish spot is from the chlorine splashing over and sitting whenever the pool is up? Again this is one of the first times of me surface cleaning so still learning everything. All I used was bleach, I definitely going to order some EBC being that’s what I see allot of people on the forum use. Thanks, and any advise is welcome to help me grow and will be used from those of you that know what your doing!
Looks a lot better than it did. EBC is a good degreaser that works even in small dilution ratios. Zep purple is something I always carry with me as well. You used hot water? Concrete can be difficult. I try not to play a magician role and promise people any stains will come out…especially oil or grease. You can treat concrete with all kinds of chemicals and pressure wash it…sometimes it comes out great…sometimes it has weird stains that will just stay there. I usually use concrete cleaning as an add on so I don’t focus on it.
Great feedback to hear from you @Barry1, I will try that in my next messy job as that one was, I actually did another job here in my area today with just tire marks (a higher end location) and only used some hot water, and a bit of post treatment so the customer knows I did something other than spray water (they were watching the whole time) Came out great. Hopefully the neighbors see the results as a positive not just some load noise outside, and give me a call for their own driveways. Again thank everyone for the knowledge I’ve been given and I will continue to keep the hustle on (if you will) and grow my business.
You do realize that SH is only good for removing organic stains don’t you. From pics you’ve shown looks like you live somewhere near desert or where it’s pretty dry. You may not need to use any SH.
I had no idea, and yes I live in New Mexico. It’s all desert here and dry. By not needing any sh, does that mean I just use cold/hot water? Or do I get a degreaser for the more difficult jobs. I’ve done a lot of research in the search bar but not allot of answers to the type of environment/weather conditions as to my location. Thank you!
Another question I have for you Racer is, What psi should I set my PW at while doing residential driveways, I have the 25025 tips on my 20” surface cleaner 4gpm, What would you Recommend I set the psi at to get the best results outta residential driveways, and what psi for the commercial side- driveways and sidewalks and such. Also do you run your hot water at every job or just the ones that are really dirty. These may be dumb questions and answered before in different posts, But I just want to hear it from someone with the experience you have and different situations you’ve been in. Thank you!
For residential unless you’re cleaning oil or something weird, no need for hot water. HW only for grease, oil, ie mainly commercial. For residential just a decent soap or can use a degreaser but it doesn’t need to be mixed strong. For commercial depends on how bad it is. But unless you’ve got algae or embedded dirt SH not going to do much for you out there. Won’t hurt to add a little but not going to really help you clean it.
Try the 25025 you’ve got should be ok, but I run 2503 in mine. For commercial the 2502.5 will be fine.
@Racer Thank you for your quick response and the information I mentioned! This forum is awesome. Full of people willing to help and give advice when needed!
No mold where I live either. For that driveway I would have used F9 Groundskeeper. It would have gotten rid of those tire Mark’s completely. On my 4gpm machine I have actually switched to 4003 nozzles on driveways with a good amount of creme still on them. I put the 25025 or 25030 on if it is old concrete or really oily.
What psi do you usually run your unit at when on both new/old concrete. Thanks for the advice on that f9 I’m going to be ordering some, and some ebc as well.
I cant really say what pressure that is. Never put a gauge on it. I have never turned the unloader down for lower pressure. Best place I have found for F9 is Janitorial Restoration Hub.
