They would probably remember you making them watch the same movies over and over more than plugging into the pop culture. “OMG, remember how many times dad made us watch Smokey and the Bandit at the cabin?” LOL.

Do you have dish at home?
Not a satalite dish. We currently have basic cable. That’s a novelty. Usually just TV but my wife gets it occasionally when there is a special. Mainly Netflix and something that lets you watch movies from Amazon
When you turn on your phones hotspot you are turning on a WiFi router. The Chromecast plugs into your TV and uses your phones hotspot/wifi to stream Netflix, Amazon Prime video, or whatever content you want.
I’m invested in a laptop now. Don’t tell me there is an easier way lol. We get tons of free stuff for the cabin but Best buy was not interested in free ads in our sites in return for a free computer lol
The data on the satellite will not be fast enough to stream any video and downloading/uploading pics is very slow. I have used them all over the world for 20 plus years for hunting trips. Inmarsat seems to be better than Iridium for data. Have you looked at Hughes net? I have zero experience with them but they advertise the heck out of it.
I’ve got the system running now. The iridium hot spot thingy and satalite phone are freebies in return for adds and promotions for our survival equipment business. No real plans to use them except on rafting excursions
