Unloader Not Set Correctly?

Maybe the zk1 is built differently? This is from the zk7 manual:

Pretty clearly shows clockwise increasing pressure, which screws the bolt in

Right, same as the ZK5 the ZK1 on the other hand is all the way clockwise for least amount of pressure

And again Iā€™ve never seen a ZK unloader without the ā€œcheat sheetā€ cast into that top cap.

I think youā€™re agreeing that the k7 and k1 adjust opposite of each other.

Heā€™s asking about a k7, why are you telling him to screw it in for less pressure?

Yes I am in agreement that the K1 and K7 screw opposite of each other. I came in late to the thread and didnā€™t read all of it. I thought everybody was talking about the ZK1. Again itā€™s cast into every top cap. Start there and donā€™t take advice from jokers who thought you had a K1 lol

And everybody needs a pressure relief valve (pop off) on their pump manifold!!!

So even after moving the gauge to be on the outlet of my unloader I am still not able to set the k7 correctly. I have removed the k7 for now and put the vrt3 unloader that came with the pressure washer. It was supposed to be set by the company I purchased it from. However when Iā€™m using it with the red tip it is showing about 2800 psi where it should be 3000ā€¦also when I release the trigger it spikes to 3500 psi sometimes and 3200 psi other timesā€¦

now where I am confused is the #9 nozzle for 8gpm is supposed to be 3000psi but is showing 2800 then I switch to a 2510 which should be 2500 but it is the same psi as the red tip and then a 2515 which should be 1000 is about 1500 psi.

My Jrod soap tip 2560 is showing almost 200 psi and rinse 2520 is about 1000 psi

At this point Iā€™m completely confused, am I just being too nit picky or is something wrong?

Yes,ā€¦

So, I meant to weigh in sooner. I think your pressure gauge is off a bit, reading 300-500 psi higher than reality. I would keep the flow unloader installed, since itā€™s a much nicer user experience, and easier on all your equipment.

I also think whoever set the original unloader that came with the machine, set it a bit low. Maybe their gauge was off, too.
