@Hotshot I meant to comment on this when I saw it on FB. So little time these days, sorry I didn’t show you any love. Beautiful job on that creepy sucker! I would have loved to see its first start after all those years of hibernation. Wonder if the restoration process will be on YouTube???

Thank you sir. We’re a little different than yalls process. We use two different chemicals, one on top of the other ,called two stepping, then we apply them with about 1200 psi then rinse at 2000 psi, all that is done by remote control, kinda like yalls but high pressure. If the process is applied and done correctly its usually brushless such as that ole Pete above.

Its definitely getting restored. The owner has plenty of money to throw at it. But it might take a year, I’ll keep updates of the owners process.
It started right up though, after topping off fluids and fresh batteries and they drove it into the shop.

Hey guys, total newbie here. Not sure if anyone still uses this thread but I’ve gotten quite a laugh reading some of the old conversations.

Here are a few questions for the vets:

What tips do yall use? A trombone, or JROD, or something else with more psi than just black soap tips?

Im looking at a stainless steel GP downstream injector with orifice of 0.091 but I’m not sure if that is the best option for 2 step chemicals or not. Any recommendations?

Favorite 2 step chemicals? I’ve seen a lot online about the stars&stripes and the Bullet&trigger combos. Got any favorites that are still polish safe?

@Hotshot is the resident wizard on here regarding fleet washing. I haven’t seen some of the others post in awhile. I think he does a group thing on FB that keeps him busy. I don’t do facebook, so I cant link you.

@Zero, IMO I prefer Crystal and Dome for polish safe and Glacier and Beartooth as our NOT safe on polish chemicals. I’d advise you to join fleet washing for beginners on the FB group and agree to the rules for a ton of good intel to get you on your way without spending unnecessary money on worthless junk that sketchy folks try to sell these days. We’ve vetted and tested every soap pimp, machine, remote system etc,etc on that group for the purpose of keeping new guys from getting hosed.
