amazon has them for 25 or less. they work has good if not better than one on mine.
I felt pretty lucky. Got back home and finished two jobs from the day before. Although, I had a brand new Gun start leaking bad. My 3rd Suttner 2305 to go bad in a couple months. At least the other two had a year on them.
St-2315 lasted 4 years before leaking….
Get some 2315’s. They handle chems much better than the 2305’s.
This one was 8 days old
Only gun I had crap out so far was a 2305 & it took no time. Didn’t see 2% of the use my 2315 has. 2315 won’t let you down. I think your old engine is loosing compression, either via blow by (needs rings) or had a burnt valve. Check out the Everest parts kit for the GX390. It has about everything & it’s cheap. The pull rope assembly alone saved me 2 times last year.
Since we’re talking about 2315’s…
I’ve had mine for 5 years since I started. It’s always seeped a bit but lately it’s downright leaking, is there a kit to replace the internals or just toss it? I wouldn’t mind it so much but the pump is having to repressurize every 20 seconds or so.
Toss it…get a new one.
This one? While I’m sure it is knock-off parts from “Chiner”, that is a heck of a deal to have on hand.
That’s it. Just keep it handy. My recoil rope broke twice last year. 4 easy bolts to swap it out saved me from rolling up hoses and closing up shop for the day.
I’ve rebuilt by 2305 twice now with good results immediately afterwards, but both rebuilds didn’t seem to last as long as the original. Likely I’m doing it/something wrong but there aren’t a lot of English directions that come with this…it’s kinda like IKEA furniture directions, lol
But, if everyone keeps saying go to the 2315 I guess that’ll be my next gun. But a quick search on PressureTek’s site didn’t show a rebuild kit for the 2315.
You’ll love everything about it. I started with a 2605 because of the ‘easy pull trigger’ they mention but the 2315 is easier. The 2605 is a back up waiting in the tool box.
I thought mine was needing rebuilt, but it turned out to be a piece of debris.
Got the engine back today. Turns out there was a bent valve guide. $200 for a new head/valves/gaskets/etc. including labor. I can’t complain about that. Now I have a back-up engine.
