This is irritating

@Greenman You forgot the hot toddy. Without that in the equation @Hotshot is out.

You’re not the only one, Max. I know I’ve stepped over the line here a time or two and for that I apologize. I’m a hot head. I’m opinionated. I’m brash and I have hard time keeping my mouth shut when I see something I don’t agree with. That being said, I’ve put some thought into it and I don’t think I offer as much help here as I do distract others that are trying to learn. I’ve learned a ton on this forum and I’m forever grateful to each and every person that had helped me along the way. Sincerely.

Now, with that being said, I’ve decided that I’m going to take Rick’s advice and focus more on my business and even more on myself as an individual. I’ll be taking a hiatus from the forum and hopefully I’ll return someday as a better business owner and person. Anybody that would like to keep in touch please feel free to PM me and I’d be glad to exchange phone numbers. Again, thanks for all of the help guys and gals. Y’all rock.

Catch ya on the flip side, amigos!

I had originally put this in the wrong thread.
Thank You @Racer for planting that seed of kindness.(Look at what you started and how the direction of the conversation has changed) I have gained a lot of info on this site as well as some great advice.Thank you again @Racer for flipping the script from a negative to a positive conversation. Joy and success to all.

@Racer’s right about wasting time here and on FB. Spent just 15 mins the other day following up with property managers that I should’ve followed up with a lot sooner. As a result, I’ve got about $15k in estimates going out this week. Most just for one PM company. Down time is a great time to go after pm’s! Try this, instead of getting sucked into fb posts and forum debates, Google NARPM. Click the ā€œfind a property mangerā€ tab. Put in whatever mile radius you want, and prepare to be amazed at the absolute gold mine of free info for almost every property manager in your area. More than you could scrape doing a google search for pm’s and pulling info off websites. Then either pick up the phone, send a post card, or shoot an email. My eyes got opened to how much time was wasted on Facebook when I set a stop watch for time between sets while working out, then checked out fb for a sec, and next thing you know, it’s been 5 mins. Felt like 30 secs.

With that being said, don’t let your business consume you. Thers nothing wrong with switching ā€œoffā€ business related computer time or doing other hobbies to just get a bit of normality in life. It’s perfectly normal. After all we are in business to be our own boss and earn a good living. Dictate your own pace, growth happens naturally. I haven’t spent a buck in marketing in over 5 years I’m happy with the size of my business and the returns I get, anymore will just mean more staff and more headaches.
