Thinking of adding roof cleaning

Thanks I’m as technically challenged as @Innocentbystander. At least he can quote now I can’t even do that :joy:

But my finger is too big to highlight all of the quote and this new phone I have had a round edge, so I can’t quote the first word on the left

And happy birthday

Thanks it’s my wife’s birthday. It’s been a good day considering it’s the first one without her mom.

Been there done that with the pump sprayer to not turn down the job…sucks big time but it did the job; never again!

I haven’t been able to add the proper roof wash but instead, I bought a crop sprayer set up; 25 gal tank with a 2.5 gal/min 100psi pump and only have 75ft of chemical hose. It’s still not the best but it cut my time by 3/4 of the time.

Maybe this coming year I’ll get the right equipment but for now it’s paid itself off with one job and then some. It all cost me $350 at tractor supply. Good luck!

Thanks guys, I’ll take a look

Merry Christmas to all!

Call Nick at Softwash Australia he helped me out with a 12v set up, I went down the DIY path and just bought a 7GPM 60psi pump with the trigger gun and a jrod.
Then I just connected a battery, switch, a chem tank and a little plumbing and done.

Hey @steve076 thanks mate. I know Nick - we spoke last week actually

The softwash systems over here are at least double, if not triple the price of the US ones, so I can see the attraction in making one up.

I like the look and build of the one posted though, and it’s less than half of what I’ve been quoted for an Australian made one.

I’m going to ponder over it for a while because, as you’ll know, you can’t just wash SH down the drains here - still not sure how that’s going to work, regardless of which I buy…

You should join this group, a guy only just posted a video of a reclaim system he made

Gen III Versajet on order. Heading to Nashville next week to pick it up

You’ll enjoy it. I use mine constantly

Thanks again for the information, Kenny. Shaun is going to meet me there on Sunday as I had concerns about leaving it in the back of my vehicle for a couple days in a parking garage.

Gen III is mounted and working but I have a leak to fix. I bought another 65 gallon tank for mixing and had to move my buffer forward. Today was the first day getting the trailer out this spring as the weather hasn’t been so good. I was a little disappointed at the length of spray with the 0 tip. I walked it off at about 33’ (hopefully my steps were big). It is supposed to hit 40’+. I’m not sure if the hose being on the reel affects the distance but I will unwind it all the way next time and do an accurate measurement. It’s nice when a neighbor sees you out and asks for a quote  Looking forward to the season ahead.

Hose on reel does affect the flow.

I like mine but it doesn’t shoot as far as advertised. I’m going to change to 5/8 house and bolt a fat boy to it and see what happens.

Don’t go to the 5/8 yet Kenny. I went to the 5/8 about a month ago to help my gas driven unit, but it seems to have hurt my 12v’s for some reason. Doing some actual testing tomorrow so hang on a few days.

On thanks. Please let me know how it turns out.

When you switch hose diameter I let’s the pump
Flow more . Try using larger nozzles
