Surface Cleaners too expensive

@Innocentbystander…Impressive video! What is your technical background? Your ideas are very practical and clever. If I get into the biz it will be residential hard surface only-driveways, etc. No drag time and lightly soiled driveways/walkways…maybe some soft washing of windows…This initial setup is just a beta test before I go full on for a small flatbed with a heated system.

As per the 4 nozzle bar…that’s a retrofit bar from W.W. I imagine? Kudos to you and your ingenuity and thank you for the video.

Cheers. Greg

Yes on the whisperwash. I would have to get out of bed, put on my bifocals and use the computer to give my technical background lol. I’m basically a lived in a car, put myself thru high school and college, been a cop, a long time fireman, general contractor, diesel mechanic, coffee shop owner, carpet cleaner owner tinkerer and draw cool stuff on note pads and build it kinda guy. But I truly suck at getting my point across on the internet and step on a lot of toes. Fortunately it doesn’t bother me. Lol. I’ve got some more videos here if you can find them
If not I’ll repost them.

Are you in the business currently? If so, you must be aware that the profit margins of the experienced owners on here aren’t exactly small.

@KNBExteriors I am not but vowed if I ever was I would have few to no employees and a very high profit margin. I just stumbled onto this idea when my POS FNA AAA pump bit the dust while doing my 6000 sf driveway with a Turbo nozzle.

I live in an affluent neighborhood with 750 homes and little to no competition so before I drop large money on a new Truck mounted rig I thought I might do a small beta test with my 4g/4000 machine and focus on driveways to start. The median age here is 65 plus and having lived here in the development for 17 years(since I was 36); I know most of my potential clients and possible competitors.

All brick homes so the money seems to be on hard surfaces. I think 80 percent of the market is driveways. Not much need for marketing as word of mouth spreads faster than fission here.

My other option is Moving to MI and starting a legal grow op but there is more money in PW than MMJ IMHO…lol

Sorry guy, that position has been filled:

Troll master. Stupid Autocorrect. I don’t do memes

Forget him. Buy me the book lol!

You’re in luck. That $12 line item is still in the budget. I promised someone that book and the answer is always no if you don’t ask. Message me your address and I’ll order it right meow.

Hate to bring it back to PW but anyone know the difference between the Eagle Wash 16" and the Whisper Wash Ultra? One site states the Eagle Wash Platinum is superior to the WW classic while another site States the WW UC is a step down from the classic. Whisper Wash says they are the same. Pressuretek shows the 16 with a 90 on the swivel.

Lastly…if I put a four nozzle with bar sleeves on does that not decrease the psi of each nozzle which would be a prob on a 4g/4000 system…

Thanks…

Eagle and Ultra are same thing. Eagle better than classic? In the eye of the beholder. I wouldn’t use a classic as a door stop. Psi remains the same regardless of nozzles. Gpm in them changes. You will need each nozzle to flow one fourth the total gpm of the machine. I use four 2502’s on my 19inch cleaners and two 2504’s on the 16 inch as they only use two nozzles. Clear as mud?

Bob (pressuretek) puts the elbow on the swivel because I showed him mine on a camping trip a few years ago. He goes above and beyond any vendor I know of to make run of the mill products even better.

I feel it should be said, that just because IB prefers the Eagle, that doesn’t mean the WW classic is trash. The WW Classic is probably the highest regarded SC in the industry, by many veterans.

NOW… does that mean that all those people have A/B’d them side by side, like IB has done? I doubt it… so it’s possible the Eagle is better between the two, but the Classic is still a quality product.

I don’t think you should run 4 nozzles with only a 4gpm machine. However, you can buy the 4 nozzle bar now, and plug two of the holes. If the bar doesn’t get beat up too bad, then if you upgrade to a bigger pump, you are ready to go. Generally buying a SC with the 4nozzle bar saves you about $75 as opposed to buying it straight out.

Edit: I didnt think they made nozzles that small, but they do… so running 4 with it might work.

IB and TS…Thanks for the input…I will give Bob a call tomorrow on the Eagle/UC and order one. I saw a YouTube vid on a fitting between the bar and the swivel that breaks away rather than damaging the bar. Looked
Interesting…Can Bob equip it with the sleeves and retro it with a 4 nozzle bar plugged to two?

Thanks for all the help guys…I really appreciate it!

Bob may or may not have the sleeves. If not try Russ at southside equipment. I wouldn’t worry about plugging the bar. The 4 nozzle bar has nozzles spaced appropriately for 4. Using just 2 might throw off the balance and cleaning pattern. Don’t know. Just speculation. Just use 4 nozzles with the smaller machine.

I didnt think they made 2501’s because i couldnt find them on pressure tek when i looked a while back, but i just looked it up and found them at other places. So yeah, run 4, or at least try and compare with 2. I plugged mine with brass plugs, and dont notice any balancing issues.

Called both PT and SS. One was adamant on the 16 and the other said he did his driveway with a 4/4000 no sweat with a 19 Classic-I assume the UC swivel is the same? The spread between the 16 and 19 in the UC is 30 dollars.

PT said 19. SS said 16.
