Simpson 420cc 4gpm - thermal relief valve - how to set up bypass to buffer?

Is this the 5.5 gpm machine your using ? Belt Driven 5.5 GPM @ 2500 PSI General Pump - Pressure Tek

No hes got a 5.5 gpm hot machine with a cat pump, if you get a hot machine the pros are you can also wash commercially or fleet work and when you wanna wash houses cold just turn the switch off but the cons are youā€™ll be spending 8k or more for a decent machine and they weigh around 800 pounds minimum.

big boy machineryā€¦ niceā€¦ one day Iā€™ll get there till then Iā€™m stuck with this pos until it pays for the 5.5 gpm belt driven 2500 psi ā€¦ work my way from there

Dont get bummed, alot of ppl have started out in your exact foot steps if they admit it or not and spent one season making money off it then upgraded for the next season, youā€™ll be in a nice rig with a dual axle trailer in no time.

And you donā€™t want a 5.5gpm @ 2500 psi , you want 3500 psi, perfect for surface cleaners

Hopefully @Innocentbystander would chime in and give you a perfect place to buy the perfect machine that will last you years and years of great service. Its in NC somewhere.

Well here is where I am at now lolā€¦ still a long ways to go I doubt the 20ā€ surface cleaner pairs well with my pressure washerā€¦ may have to change out the tips

I started washing houses with a 2.3 gpm unit. Just run that thing till it dies and then upgrade. Everyone has to start somewhere

You can make a pile of money with that. Yes your surface cleaner will be super slow .

Not a bad first time set up to be honest for the house washing field imo

You gotta trailer yet ? And soon as that Simpson hose breaks never buy it again

I would get rid of the bypass

Heā€™s been following racer and a few others I see , Which is a good idea, but im not a fan of the bypass either

Iā€™m not a fan. But with his machine it doesnā€™t make alot of sense. He will be controlling soap pull with tips ot clean water. And will have to shut machine down to switch to surface cleaner anyway. So just plug hose straight in no reason for it or the guage

Thank you both.

Iā€™ll have my 5x10 v-nose enclosed trailer around the start of May, and set it up with a 275 gallon tote (as future buffer) (55 gallon barrel for bleach tank) (55 gallon barrel or smaller for soap) Even if it is just for looks, because my pressure washer wonā€™t work with the buffer. Wanted to set it up something like the picture below.

I wanted to mount the bypass by the reel, but I got a budget reel right now without a stacking kit mounted the hose reel to a dolly lol. Going to mount another reel, and 100 ft of garden hose under that current reel. Why get rid of the bypass? Replace it with what? I also have the dn10 ball valve swivel & shut off by spray gun. I guess that is useless now too since I canā€™t be off trigger for long??

What are the non legit businesses you have tried?

Keep the dn10 you never know if something breaks and you need to shut it off. But for surface cleaning just plug hose directly in you will need a you can get.

Keep the bypass for bigger machine. I promise if you stay in this business long you will lots of things laying around that you bought and didnā€™t like or didnā€™t use. I have a shop full of stuff

And thats alot of weight hanging off that unloader which will snap off, ditch the bypass, gauge and run. If youā€™d like to check you pressure just hook that guage up now and then.
