Set up issues

I don’t mind ladders but don’t want to be called Paul Kersey either! I gotta get one of those as well! Thanks @TheWizard

Best I can tell the ZK1 is up to 3600psi and the ZK5 tops off at 2900psi.

Doesn’t matter just like everybody threading NPT into BSPP lmao

I have yet to understand why folks get sudden pressure with a pressure unloader. Just pull the trigger slowly.

Time is money lol

With my old Pulsar unloader, squeezing the trigger slowly yielded the same result as a .357 magnum. The 2315 was like an on / off switch with it. I know it wasn’t the greatest unloader but just based on my experience with the ZK1:

Pros:
Affordable, easy to set, easy to start, no unloader block necessary, no recoil, no constant pressure in hoses (so the built in hose swivels move freely & hoses are easier to drag around), makes the job much easier with less wear & tear on the trigger hand.
Cons:
Adapter fittings needed for output & bypass, bypasses more water.

The hair trigger is great but you have to be more careful so it doesn’t go off when you don’t want it to. You could easily remove you gun from the quick connect with it running & you don’t want to do that. If you’re a ball valve guy you’ll want to make sure it’s closed before you make that mistake. I can’t speak for long term reliability but a spare is on my grocery list.

#2 with the k7 - but I think I’ve got all mine switched over to K1’s now, so don’t have to worry about

Got 1300 hours with my K1 I just took off last month. It was still working, but I had a new one so swapped them out.

Good to hear! Thanks for that. That should outlast the whip lines.

Appreciate all the responses everyone! Got it set up with the unloader shown in the second photo above. I’ve ran it on 2 separate jobs and everything works great. The pressure is a little lower than my previous set up being that the pump is a little underpowered. Cleans great though and puts out around 2500 psi on the surface cleaner.
