Random observations

I hear you. I just personally dont think it’s as big of a difference as some people make it out to be, because each have pros and cons. For instance, you only listed the negatives about 12V’s above. Perhaps my opinion will change as i get more experience with each method.

I feel like 12V’s might have an edge in marketing, although that is a lot harder to gauge. If you have two companies that both have glowing reviews, one is pressure washing based, and other 12V based, i would think the average homeowner might tend toward the 12V company, because of the perception of a big loud 4000 PSI gas engine, vs a quiet little 60 PSI 12V.

If i ever went all 12V’s, though, i would be sure and state on my website that you can still softwash with a pressure washer. I dont always agree with some of the marketing tactics that softwashers use, where they imply that pressure washers arent capable of using chemicals and low pressure to softwash.

Or, you know, you could charge a fair price for both services. $900 for washing/stripping, and $1,820 for staining. Comes out to the same total, and doesn’t put you in an awkward situation when they want maintenance cleaning.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad to hear that you’re making up for the low washing rates with your other services. You’re definitely not in the same category as most $99 housewash guys.

Everyone has to run their business how they see fit. And if you’re making good money over all, then power to you. You don’t need my approval. I’m just puzzled at how and why other people do things, sometimes :smirk:
