Pump swap fail

If I had a normal ball valve I would maybe use it if I knew I was going to be surface cleaning. But the junk long arm one I have makes me angry! You won’t like blue hulk when he angry!

No I’ll do that this winter. Reason for me to go stand in the shop with the heater blowing on me.

If it works I’ll build you one. I have a good design in mind in a weathertight box.

The unloader that came attached to my 5.5 pump was bypassing some water when on the trigger when I started it up. If you put a maximum pressure tip for your machine whether white, yellow, green, or red (#7) and pull trigger and keep it pulled…adjust the unloader until only a trickle is coming out bypass barb…let off trigger…and don’t touch again…that should give you max flow. Gauge doesn’t do much good.

Im waiting on a brass plug and a few other odds and ends. I’ll have it all this week. I can see whats bypassing when I set it to bypass to the buffer and look at making adjustments

Ibs uses the same gun and connects to his surface cleaner so he has no need for a ball valve. It’s safer that way.

Update. Now that Ive done a complete house wash I can say it was well worth the trouble. It took a whole house to properly evaluate the difference.
