Tongue weight is rated at 500lbs. The only weight on the tongue in transport is the hose reels (under 200lbs), the empty tanks (around 150 lbs with residual water), 6 gallon fuel tank (about 50 lbs full), 1/2 of the ladder rack (25 lbs), and whatever portion of the ladder’s weight it’s carrying (around 25 lbs), so I’m in the area of 450lbs tongue weight in transport.

If you look closely all of the equipment and chemical weight is at or behind the axle, so that really balances things out and helps compensate for any actual tongue weight.

Also, I’m quite sure the tongue has waaay less than 450lbs on it because I can pick it up and move it fairly easily. There’s no way I could do that if it had a full 450lbs on it. Weight at it behind the axle DOES affect tongue weight.

I know you transport it empty like we all do.
But once on site you add 125 gl of water, 1000lb.
That affects the tongle weight, i would be worried about it bending.
Or i am complete wrong?

Completely wrong. Tongue weight refers to transport and balance. It will take a lot more than 500lbs to bend the tongue.

Got it. Ty
