Looking for Help, need to wash a house in 2 days

Bingo !

That is why it is called “downstreaming”.

I know that, and you know that…but the people at home depot seem to think otherwise. I rented a machine there last week when mine broke down on a job. That’s was the explanation I got when I asked them why they didn’t have an injector on there machine.

Maybe its just my location in boardman ohio, but I would think it’s there policy everywhere. Maybe they ment there hoses and guns… which were just as useless as there machine anyways…but that’s the explanation I got.

Hi, welcome to the PWRA!
There are tons of folks here with similar questions and responses, but the general consensus makes the industry standard. Please read as many topics as you can, and If you have a question, look it up on the search bar atop.

If you’re serious about getting into this industry it will take a few grand to get the right equipment, but before you purchase anything read this forum. It’s a gold mine! But take their responses seriously, you can make all your money back quick!

For what you’re renting Equipment you can sub out that job and watch how they do it, even take pictures so you can go home and study. You’ll profit just as much only faster and without getting dirty.

I’m glad I found this forum and I hope it’s just as useful to you as it has been to all of us.

Please do me a personal favor, and don’t attempt any power washing until you’ve done a lot more research. I don’t want my premiums going up any more due to inexperienced contractors making preventable claims.

The questions you’ve asked so far indicate you haven’t done nearly enough research.

YouTube videos are really helpful if you’re more of a visual learner. Good ones to watch are Michael Hinderliter, Alex Curry (ARC power washing), Jason Geiman (sp?), etc.

Years ago, I tried washing my brother’s house with a 2800 PSI machine. I was being super careful because I was warned that I could do damage. The dirt wasn’t quite coming off, so I got a little bit closer. Just close enough that it started to clean. Suddenly there was an 18" gash through the siding on the side of his house. It happened so fast. It didn’t just take off some paint. It went all the way through the siding. Maybe a fluke? A soft spot in the wood? I kept going, being even more careful, and I did it AGAIN right on the front of his house!

I have a customer whose deck I do every couple of years. Her wood siding has streaks all over it from some guy who didn’t know what he was doing. She keeps asking me to do the house, but I’m not touching it.

lets the chems do the work!

LOL
,my newbie thoughts exactly!
