F9 Barc is their rust removal product.

That’s what I thought but I was reading about it and said it was for concrete wasn’t sure if there was another one for siding.

Oh I gotcha. Makes sense. I believe they say to mix it 2 parts water to 1 part F9 Barc when applying it to surfaces that won’t absorb liquid.

The F9 Barc is for rust on pretty much anything. The F9 Efflo is for efflorescent, calcium deposits, mud stains, etc. I rarely use the Efflo, have better luck with local product or oxalic on mud, which is a biggie around here. I go through a fair amount of Barc, so I always have some on trailer. Efflo I may use gal or 2/ year.

I know it’s a lot of money, I think $150, but the F9 cookbook is a great investment. It 's 100 pages and walks you through the process of tackling just about any kind of stain. I’ve had since it came out, think I got at a show for $125, and it’s more than paid for itself. It’s not something you use everyday, but there when you need it.

You’re the F9 expert, didn’t you just recently buy a truckload for your shopping center?

Hahahaha gave me a chuckle. Yeah that’s beer money, and Rick ain’t even in the same universe as a beer money guy :joy::joy:

@Racer F9 huh? I use F8 for that type of thing. I’ll have to grab some F9, cant hurt to have it in the shop :joy::call_me_hand:

F8 is just oxalic acid. You can get it cheaper buying where it’s not re-labeled. It’s great for a lot of rust stains and for neutralizing wood. F9 Barc usually works when oxalic won’t. I believe it’s phosphoric acid based so stronger. Oxalic is a lot cheaper so I usually start there.

Agree on the price. The oxalic is def cheap. I would however like to try the different kinds of acids out there. I havent used muriatic acid yet either.

Whats the next step in ya’lls arsenal, muratic?

Advantage of oxalic aside from being cheap, is easier to teansport and not worry about dot chems

Cleaning the glass was the easiest part really. The roof took patience.

Doesn’t say specifically not to use it on glass though

I mixed a small batch up today to use on a customer’s house, they were very happy. F9 worked great

You use oxalic on mud? I have a house that I cleaned recently that pulls their irrigation water from a pond behind their house. A few years ago they did some work on the pond and it sprayed mud all over the house for weeks. Now its stained. I talked to Craig about it and tried Barc on his recommendation but it didn’t touch it. Didn’t even consider oxalic.

What kind of siding? Got any pics?

@Racer It’s brick. I tried several Barc treatments and it didn’t make much of a difference. Craig is recommending efflo now, but he originally told me barc. I went with it even though I thought efflo from the beginning. I mean he IS the F9 guy after all!
