Jrod put together

Try about 4 or 5 wraps around with the teflon tape. Should seal it.

I can’t even understand what you’re trying to convey. Use some punctuation and sentence structure and we can probably get you set up in a jiffy.

It’s simple really. He doesn’t know how to put together things without them leaking and is frustrated. So frustrated that he accidentally broke his jrod

Two wraps of teff tape, finger tight then one full turn.

Hi gents, another JROD question. The one I got from pressure tek doesn’t fit my quick connect. The spacing between the nozzles is too tight/the connect is too wide. The other qc’s from Northern Tool are also too wide to slide the nozzles into. I have reached out to pressure tek for a recommendation. My question is, would it be stupid to slice off notches in the plastic on the quick connect at the end of my wand so that the JROD nozzles fit on there? Seems like a good way to put a hole through something or cause damage by shooting the nozzle off, but that might just me being paranoid. Thank you.

You could slice the plastic. It’s not going to hurt anything. Although, if you don’t have a hot water machine you can always purchased female quick connects without the plastic. Try and get in the habit of quickly shooting at the ground right after changing nozzles. Grass or dirt preferably. I always double check to make sure my quick connects are tight but it’s easy to get in a hurry which is when accidents happen. Learning good habits early on will definitely payoff down the road.

What plastic are you referring to. I’ve never seen a quick connect or Jrod with plastic

Probably trying a jimmy rig these lol

They’re actually kind of nice @Ikii sent me some for welding him up some jrod’s that would work with them. Well, I haven’t welded them yet but need to get on it. (Hopefully soon Ikii…lol) anyways, the plastic is more of an insulator when using hot water and swapping nozzles but there’s just more to grab when swapping nozzles so kinda nice. I haven’t used them yet but plan on trying them. I assume that’s what the poster above is talking about.

Gotcha. I would have those in the junk bucket so quick

Haha…I knew you’d say that. I believe you said something similar about the metering injector from Dultmier. :slightly_smiling_face:

Nah, I can’t say much about them because I haven’t used them yet. There’s really no need for cold water. Although, with the way the plastic has the groove in the middle it does make it easier to slide the quick connect down.

Correct @marinegrunt, those blue tips are similar to what I have and I was considering cutting a notch in the very top lip to get the JROD’s on there. Thanks for pointing out that they are a hot water feature.

You need to weld the nipples on a bar

If you’re not using hot water just cut the plastic off.:man_shrugging:t3:

@Ikii, I never learned welding! I’ll check out what you’re talking about though. I have read some posts about modifying wands/getting rid of the long wand. I’m looking at the Suttner 2315 and a 18" wand.

Pressure tek has recommended these products to fit on my wand. Since I don’t do any hot work right now I will switch out to one of these so that I don’t have to modify the tip. Thanks ya’ll!!

You’ll be happier with a six inch wand

95% of the time I don’t even use a wand. Just a m5ds in a 2315.

I do not weld.
I take it to a local guy and pay him to do what I want him to do.
here is a picture from an old post.
Look at these 2 pictures

The gun I use is a ST but the connections are the same

If you share I won’t mention your hair for two weeks.

Some of you guys may not agree, but I went to all insulated qc’s just like the ones above. So much easier to handle in my opinion. I did get the idea from @Ikii and personally glad I did. Maybe I’m just getting old, but I like them. And I’m using on both hot and cold water.

Edit: I’m NOT using them on the end of my wand! No 1/4”, just the 3/8’s.
