If you could buy your first trailer all over again, what would you buy?

Wtf

Alex, I just purchased an 8 GPM 3500 PSI cold water skid from Jason @ KEC this morning and am mostly doing house washing but some flat work as well. I have a 126 Gallon tank with a Hudson float valve in place for when it gets here. Do you think I should get a larger tank in the 200 Gal range or will this be sufficient? I read on one of Tim’s posts that he gets away with a 100 gallon no prob. What’s your thoughts?

You will be fine… Keep in mind if you start getting into commercial flat work you will want a bigger tank. Sometimes you have to fill up and 100 is not going to get you a lot of working time…

Keep up to good work and it will all pay off… ;0)

Ok great news, thanx Alex. I’m trying to set up my van as efficiently as possible for resi work and hope to make it adaptable when needed for commercial work. I have another 100 gal and a 300 gal tank but they take up so much real estate in the van, maybe buy a trailer for water transport if I get some big jobs needing hours of flat work. I was doing the math and 126 gal alone will get me just over 15 mins alone but them I’ll have a water source constantly feeding the tank so I don’t think I should be waiting for water to full. These tanks I have aren’t clear so I was thinking of running a clear external tube so I know how much water is in them.

There are some awesome van set up as well… You should be good… Just post and ask

Perfect. It’s going to be a fun build, should have a good start on it by the time my new equipment arrives from the USA

I started with a van with my 8gpm machine and a 275 gallon poly tote in the back… It was a weeeee bit tight but I made it work until I saved for the truck and trailer

I had a truck and trailer to start with but it just doesn’t work effectively in my city. Also I find the van is really efficient not only for parking but also for quoting so if the home owner likes the price I can start working on the spot!

Holy crap! That’s a huge service area!

Don’t even bother trying to market yourself in Lake County. Especially the villages. Not unless you like working for nothing.
