several factors to take into consideration but I believe you’re good up to about 1 month and then it will start deteriorating from there. Obviously sooner if its left out in the sun, etc. I just had a class on this recently and I’d say you really don’t have anything to worry about unless you are buying 50+ gallons at a time.
Can you use that tester with straight sh or does it need to be diluted?
I know it’s not good to touch SH … but on a real note I can usually tell it’s strenth by how thick, soapy it feels and if it’s hot to the touch on the fingers.
Not actual strenth…but enough to know if it’s good for roofs or not
I had some issues last time I attempted to clean to clean a clay tile roof and I attributed it to my sh not being fresh. So this time I made sure to get a barrel from a reputable company instead of a pool supply store amd have it delivered the day before the job. I know it will still work a month from now but I just wanted it to be as strong as possible.
Can be tested straight. @CaCO3Girl should be able to describe iodometric titration better than me.
Test kits come with solutions, reagents, and test strips.
Here is another link with a little more info.
That’s pretty much my test…but mine should be cheaper if you go through grainger
Around here the standard for pool testing is the Taylor brand kit
How many shots does it usually take to catch a buzz if you’re using the 12.5?
5 shots and 7 monthes later…if your using 12.5…
I’m so happy it wasn’t me this time lol…
… Whoo Hooo!!!
