Housewashing process by the guy who can't burn metal

I hear what you are saying. Bills have to take priority. Maybe save up and get one early spring. Their might be some sales going on?

@Racer house looks good, I see u said something about u usually don’t rinse roofs unless no gutters, just curious why not rinse? Or should u rinse? Iv seen others say they let the rain rinse but leaving it on the roof That Won’t harm the roof? I seen other ppl say dame thing. Iv watched a lot videos and nobody says they rinsed or what they rinsed with.

There are a lot of discussions online about rinse or no rinse… there is no right answer, it mostly depends on how you want to do it. Most people dont rinse, mostly because of how much time it takes to rinse a roof. It wont hurt to leave it on the roof. However, if there are no gutters, people will often rinse… or at least rinse the bottom 1/3 or so… this is to prevent runoff from dew/light rain/gravity before the solution has dried and/or diminished in strength.

Some people rinse every roof, because they want the customer to have a clean roof when they leave.

Thanks @tireshark, Iv never done roofs so I was just curious on how that worked. I was looking at maybe getting into next yr, so Iv been reading some post about roofs just didn’t really know about how it worked on not rinsing Vs rinsing…iv been trying to find some videos on YouTube about and only a few have rinsed and some don’t say if they rinsed or not.

Iv still got more research to do on setups and the does and don’t

Bought me a 4gpm 4300 unit with Honda engine from water cannon. Used a couple times already. Still gett8ng used to it but definitely notice a difference

My first house wash wash 7 hours , it’s was long day

That’s funny…lol

About the same here but we hand brush all gutters as a little extra. We run 2 cold water machines, 3 people. One machine soaps, one machine comes behind and rinses, one man on the brush. Seems to work well for us.

What fixes an instance like this with the rust ?

I think they just rinsed lightly, misting it. If it dries you have to use an acid to remove it.

Wow nice job. I am a newbie and I may have to start by myself, so this information helps.

Good luck youngster! That’s exactly what I did 3 1/2 years ago. The help I needed came from this forum and the great guys who generously donate their time and experience to folks like me and you.

I highly recommend that you spend a few days studying what’s already here BEFORE you post too many questions that aren’t accompanied by pictures and specifics of a job.

Want a good laugh? Search my posts (I think this thread was started a few years ago in response to a problem I was having.) BTW, PM me before you adopt ANY of my actions or suggestions before 2020 and I’ll be glad to either confirm or redirect before you make my mistakes.

I am not an expert I have been pressure washing in the construction industry for over twenty years. With that being said I (we the construction industry) was doing it wrong, just blasting away at surfaces. I am trying to downstream however I have two soft washing machines and two pressure washers in my enclosed trailer. I usually do a combination of soft wash to apply chemicals and use my 8 gph to rinse working on trying to be faster and more efficient.

If you want to be faster and more efficient, quit using two machines to do one job. One 8gpm with a ds will out wash any soft wash system unless you are doing roofs.

Yes that’s what I hear. I am in north west Florida most houses and commercial property needs to be washed twice a year. With most commercial properties doing it every two years or more. A lot of stucco. I am learning. Thanks for the information.

This makes me miss @MrSparkleVA.

RIP, George.

I greatly enjoyed your posts and fun banter.

Where would you point me if I also wanted to learn about pricing psychology? TIA

I might be making this mistake. I have my process as using the soft wash system instead of a downstream. Why do you think DS? Thanks in advance.
I have a 5.5 gpm 3000psi Bandit belt pressure washer. and then I have the 12v 5.5gpm 300 psi for the soft wash. 3 hose reels (buffer tank, high pressure, soft wash). 35 gallon buffer, 15 gallon bleach tank, 5 gallon surfactant tank.
