If you look at the pics George posted originally in the thread he was talking about cleaning his roof. Scroll up.
We remember you, does that tell you anything, LOL.
How could you forget?
Wow that roof came out nice.
True, if Em’s pic wasn’t there with you you’d qualify on all 3 , roflol.
To change the subject, tried the elemonator on the above house and one yesterday. Went one oz per gal and with the 8 wasn’t enough suds for me. So being the rocket scientist I am, doubled it to 2 oz per gal. Sheesh, had to rinse my ass off. Won’t make that mistake again. About 1.5 is about right I think for my machine. As a soap would give it a 7. Ease of use a 10.
That’s a beauty! And no surface cleaner for the driveway? Obviously you were up on that roof. SO, my first question is about safety: since you start at the gutters and work your way up, are you able to traverse those shingle roofs safely, even after you’ve applied your solution?
12v FB. GPM? Hose ID? How do you recharge the 12v battery, or do you hook it up through the truck or trailer? Rinsing. How necessary, and how thorough? What nozzle and wands do you use?
Have 2 batteries hooked in parallel, charged up previously. Not necessary to have 2, but on big job keeps your pump from losing distance - 7 gpm - Don’t rinse usually unless no gutters - rarely get on roof, shoot from ladder - 1/2 kuri tec hose - I use hose ends, so can use any nozzle but mainly use Master Industries SS nozzle. Cheap $5 spray nozzle from Lowes will work fine too.
Not quite accurate. But using Pool Shock that’s probably watered down is certainly a factor. These days I buy in bulk from Pressure Works, who deliver 55g for $150. Now I’m a bit less stingy with the SH, and it’s stronger. A 2 story brick will cost me about 7 to 10 gallons, and a roof… well we know what kind of fun I had with my own roof. I spent around 10 gallons of SH on my roof and didn’t kill all the bacteria. Will wait until I get that 12v setup to finish it.
Did you do the roof also @Racer?
Man that shit had me rolling!!!
Thanks. That’s the specificity that will work. So you keep a battery charger on the setup at the shop? If I’m not asking too much, what kind & where on that pump?
@Racer did you bag the gutter spouts when you did that roof ? Did you catch all the runoff or just divert it?
@MrSparkleVA if you want I live right across the water I will come wash your roof for you!!!
Watch my trailer build video, the first one
Gutters were piped somewhere except for a couple that emptied onto the pavement
