are guys cleaning gutters while washing the house or before/after washing?

We apply the detergents to the sides we are cleaning, scrub gutters, then rinse. Make sure to not let F13 dry bc you may have to scrub again on some gutters.

thanks… ive only done a couple gutter cleans and thats how i did it just making sure i was atleast halfway doing it right lol

I’m new to the Pressure/House Washing scene. I attempted to clean some gutters with the use of F-13 Gutter Grenade and wasn’t pleased with my results. I’m almost certain my mixture wasn’t right. When the instructions state 20:1, does that mean 1 ounce of F-13 for every 20 ounces of water? Same goes for 5:1… Does that mean 1 ounce of F-13 for every 5 ounces of water? Thanks in advance for helping to answer this question. I should know the answer, but am doubting myself. Temperature may have also played a role in my results. Temperature was right at 60 degree.

20:1 is 6.4 oz to 128 oz of water. 5:1 is somewhere around 27 oz to 128 of water. Temps always play a key role with this product when applying. I don’t always follow the rules when applying certain cleaners. Sometimes I mix them stronger or have found success when applying them slightly weaker (not normally though). Play with your mixture, check the temp, have fun. Gutter Grenade is a great product, however, use caution when applying it on homes with oxidation and do not let it dry on brick. Hope that helps.

For those of y’all that have Gutter Grenade and never use it because you hate brushing gutters, I found that a lot of the homes I wash have these oxidation runoff on the window trim. After the wash I let the customer know about them and that the house wash won’t clean it off because it’s not an organic stain. So I offer an up sell to clean the bottom window trim for a small price on each stained window. Doesn’t take much either, just tiny bit on a rag and scrub off. Good way to up your ticket.

Are you using straight GG?

Yes, then once its all scrubbed off, i use a wet rag to wipe up any extra. so far, ive done 6 other neighbors on this street which all wanted this done, and no complaints so far, trim looks good.

now i dont use much GG at all… like only a small area where the rag is on the lid gets some. kind of like how you use apply peroxide on a cotton ball to clean wounds.

BUT! ive only tested this on these types of trims… not on other window trim surfaces.

That’s aluminum trim so the GG is working the same as if it were an aluminum gutter.
