If you use boars hair brush, when you rinse keep the brush off the glass. That can create transferring dirt from the brush back to the window. Nylon brush not so much of a worry…
I have that hybrid hair/nylon brush and installed a quad nozzle rinse jet, hold the brush away from the window and rinse thoroughly. No matter what I do it still gets those runs, especially on a hot day.
I like the rinse bar myself….to much pressure when rinsing can cause spotting and other issues. If rinsed well with pure water you should be spot free, runs like that are contaminated dried dirty water coming from seals or trim, etc.
