I don’t believe it, I know it!
Yeah the state/government would rather profit from a 1 time sales tax of a few signs rather than ongoing tax on the work the signs generate lol. Well done. These signs are considered littering. think about it, if someone puts up signs will they ever take them down or leave them there until they fall off or someone rips down the littering.
Please, no one follow this advice. Be professional in all aspects.
I see signs on power poles all over Louisville, don’t think there’s any enforcement or law against it. Heck every other pole seems to have some PW or lawn care sign on it.
That’s here though, I wouldn’t make a blanket statement that it’s illegal everywhere in the US.
If you don’t get permission to put a sign on a property, I wouldn’t personally do it. We leave them in yards we do work for, most homeowners want to help your small business out. You would be surprised how much business you can get just doing that. Hope that helps.
I can understand 1 or 2 in key locations and play the “i didn’t know” card but 300 takes a bit of planning and ordering to not confirm 100% the legality of all of this lol.
That being said… if I put 300 around the city I live in they’d be on every damn corner. The population here is around 250,000 and it’s a decent sized city
I have 300 signs already shipped, and they’re all just “house washing” or “Got Moss?” with a white background. I realize now that putting signs in front of costumer houses is the best way to go, but my question is, are the signs in my large order appropriate for costumer lawns? Should I make use of them or just never use them and make new ones?
Where the heck do you live?
Somewhere with at least 300 telephone poles
Knocking on doors down here in GA will land you in jail without a solicitors license, and a solicitors license is harder to get and involves more paperwork, references, and background checks than getting a concealed weapons permit. Top it all off, people will call the cops on you in a hot minute around here. Gotta preface telling people to “go knock doors” with “go check your local laws first” nowadays.
