General Pump lost pressure, rebuild or buy new?

Good morning! 2 years ago I took your advise and upgraded to the UDOR pump. I got a A 5GPM MKC 18/24. It’s worked like a dream for 2 years. For the past few weeks oil began to “bubble” out of the oil dipstick on the top of the pump, I assumed the plastic dipstick/cap was broken. The machine had been working fine, until yesterday when it finally lost pressure. I changed the oil again, and the cap, but that didn’t work. Do I need to get a new seal kit? We’re the bubbles a result of water getting into the pump through a busted seal? Happy Memorial Day!! You’re the man btw, this pump has treated me very well!

Thanks so much for looking into this on your day off! ( I did a small job with my back up machine haha). I do think it’s probably the seal, and that water is getting into the pump somehow. I’m going to call Dultmeier tomorrow morning and look into ordering the seal kit!

I ended up ordering the seal kit before I took the head off the pump, and there was a burning smell! After looking closely at the plungers there were fractures in each😒 difficult to see because of their dark brown color.

Called Udor and they explained that the bearings and Even the values could be damaged… interestingly the seals seemed fine!!

I bite the bullet and upgrade to the Udor BKC (the MKC is discontinued) buuut i ended up having to shave a few millimeters off of the female end of the PA unloader I had on my MKC to get it to fit my new model!

Long story short, the new one works even better. 5.3 GPM, 3650 psi. And I’m back in business!!

Very good. I run the GKC’s with never a problem that Udor didn’t fix for free

I was told by a vendor that Udor went to CKC from GKC recently a their recent catalog reflects that too. Have you heard that @Innocentbystander?

Don’t know. I have gone thru probably 30 engines over the years but have only bought 10 pumps. they just keep lasting. Hopefully there are still gkc pumps in stock when I need another one. I’m kinda a creature of habit.

I ordered a GKC and was informed it’s a CKC coming. Same pump new nomenclature. Made me go look into it. I need to call udor.

Just spoke to Glen at Udor and he confirmed they’re now CKC pumps. The mold was “old” and they updated it. Slight cosmetic difference, slight upgrade to quality from the GKC line.

Do you happen to have the exact model#?

Is dultmeier the recommended vendor for udor pumps?

Udor is still udor regardless of which vendor you buy it from. Dultmier has the most confusing website to order from in the world, to me anyway.

I ordered from www.sprayerdepot.com

I ordered from Dultmeier and they drop shipped.
