Gallons of solution used per roof?

Crap, ok. I’ll have to look into it. Thanks.

Thats not true.
if you have a 10 ton box truck, that means you are capable of carrying a few tons of chem. You may be carrying empty drums that are capable of carrying tons worth of chems, but if they are empty there is not a problem.

What they care about is both the weight and the chem. If you have a 10 ton truck and they weigh it at 10.1 tons, you are going to pay a fine and they dont care if you are carrying chems or butterflies and unicorns… Different chems may have different limits on weight, go to the DOT web site and call your local DOT for better info, AND no matter what they tell you, get something in writing that you can carry with you.

When I was looking into a bigger truck I called DOT and the state PD, asking about fuel, chems and weight limits. I called each agency multiple times and compared what they said to what was posted online - Not once did I get anyone to support the others response or send me info in writing. I decided to pass on getting a bigger truck. I talked to a state officer I know personally and he said that dept. (state PD vehicle inspectors) will stop anyone they want for any reason and if you catch them on a bad day, look out.

Sounds like you did your homework! That beats “pretty sure” any day! Thanks for the info!

If you are looking for a smaller footprint, look at vertical tanks. The powerwashstore store sells 55 gallon vertical tanks. Would be great for a buffer tank for you 5.5 gpm machine, and they are great for holding mix.

Thanks for the advice! Already went with the 50 regular gal tank and 35 gal chem tank though. So far it’s worked out very well.

I can usually get through a 4000 sq ft tile roof with 70 gal of mix 50/50

Hey Bret! Don’t they say its like 1 gallons per 100 sq ft or something like that??

Thabks for all your info @AllCleanPowerWashing. What kind and what amount of surfactent do you use for tile vs. shingle?
