Here are some videos of different units. The only thing I’d do different is put a 6gpm pw up on top in front of one storage box with my softwash system right behind cab on left side
I would love to have a truck mounted unit to make it easier to parallel park in the congested shore towns. I have so many accessories, tools, chems, hoses and other junk that I thought a utility truck would work good. I’ve seen @Innocentbystander trucks on here and they look like a efficient setup. I do worry about the truck braking down too.
I have my soft wash skid in my pick-up so I can do a basic house wash with just the truck. I also have an enclosed trailer if I need pressure washers, surface cleaners, back-up chemicals, hose, etc… that I use for specialty or bigger commercial jobs.
If I add a hot machine or recovery unit, I have room in the trailer for them.
I do not like to pull a trailer all the time so, so far, my set up is working but like everyone else, I’m always tweaking things & I do like the utility truck set-up that IBS uses. Would like to take a good look at his set-up and watch his crews for a day!
I have a 24 foot extension pressure wand, 6 foot extension pressure wane and a 16 foot extension brush pole that I worry about rusting (my proximity to ocean) and getting stolen if I just put them on my ladder racks. I believe most of my equipment and machines last longer because they are not in the elements, wet and exposed to salt air. Which is a huge reason why I don’t dump my trailer for a truck. That and I don’t want to spend the money right now. If I had a truck without a trailer I would be like a pressure washing ninja.
