First house of the season done

I sure can’t wait until I start getting those kinds of customers.

@Innocentbystander I’ll have to keep that in mind. I think this was the first and the last time I’ll let that happen.

A lot of it may have been in the customers perception of your ability to get the job done.

Here’s a few questions…

Do you have your equipment mounted in a trailer or truck?

Do you have professional lettering on your vehicle?

Do you wear uniforms with logos?

Are you knowledgeable and able to answer customers questions with confidence?

If no to those then your going to continue having people walk around like a dog.

Not always true, but usually is.

I had some meth heads haul away a trailer (probably stolen) of junk for probably $20 in rusty steel in the mix. Those junkies took my trash can. I’m assuming because there was trash in it.

Maybe he’s hired meth heads and they took his trash can… now he’s paranoid. Might not be your fault at all. Blame the meth heads.

I had a guy start following me around his house so I started to ask him some semi personal questions in our conversation, I guess that did the trick cuz then he stopped following me :joy:

I embarrassed myself today. Did a vinyl fence and felt it came out fantastic. I asked if he would come have a look, all proud of my work and he found the ONE spot I missed, out of all that work.

It’s alright, he was thoroughly impressed and the lady next door wanted hers done as well.

That’s why when you do walk around you make small talk on sports, their pets, cars…etc

They don’t even look at the house, then tell you how awesome it looks lol

What about the ones that are too friendly?lol
Hard to get away from them to get started.
Then here comes the bottle of water or soda.

I don’t mind really, I’m pretty friendly myself, but sometimes your just like…man just let me get this done!

And the ones that try to add “this little patio here and this little bit there and this and that”
I try to accommodate but sometimes I’m just thinking…why didn’t you include that when I quoted you a price?
