I wanted a LPX but their GVWR is no heavier than my F550’s and they only came with the T444 if I wanted the legendary DT466 it would not be a lopro with the short hood. I’ve been looking at FL60’s and 70’s but they rarely come up with the 8.3l Cummins more often than not they are running a 3126 Cat and I’ll pass on that everytime

I picked this one up for 4k, 250,xxx miles. Its got a 7.3 turbo diesel and all tires are in great shape. The bed looks next to new and has a fifth wheel if need be.

I was using DFW market prices over here :cowboy_hat_face:

What’s you door jamb sticker listing for the front and rear GAWR? 11k and 5k

Any recommendations on whether to bolt or weld the equipment?

Bolt only and figure out how to pin the rear of your coil. Truck mounted skids take a beating and you will loose many coils until you figure out how to support the back of the coil

Thats all ive done on my trailer setup just wasn’t sure on these flatbeds what the better method is

Just to be clear what coil are you talking about? Going to be starting my setup this weekend after I get a good look at the engine and change fluids. Any shock absorption methods?

I’m talking about the coil inside the coil assembly aka burner. I don’t know what you can do for shock absorption. My skids are all put together from scratch. They have frames that are bolted to the bed then I have rubber isolation mounts on the plates. The vibration will tear your plate up before shock will so I have two lengths of 3/4" solid square bar welded up underneath the pump and engine to stiffen the plate.

Extremely helpful, thank you

Make sure you fix that before your next insurance audit

What needs fixing?

Your belt guard is off

Lmao I’m going to have to pass on that one for now but maybe some day I’ll fab something up.

And it’s not off its non existent. I never built any for them.

Be a professional and do it tonight before you go to your next job. Somethings we have little control over, but that is a huge hazard that is easily fixed. I know it is old equipment but make it safe.

No, I’m good. Thank you for your concern though it’s appreciated. I will incorporate them on my new builds though

I should just sub it out to a stainless steel guy so he could just weld up something with punched stainless plate. That would be quick and easy. Thanks for having me think about it.

That’s a nice set up !
