I close it down a little bit to put in high pressure mode and it keeps from pulling cleaner. I did it by mistake 3 years ago and it has saved me time ever since.
Thatās awesome. So itās just a regular 3/8 ball valve on the end of your hose?

what do you mean?
yes i agree. if you are a one-man operation it wouldnāt make sense. this post is thread is for companies that use two-man crews for house washing.
West Yes with the 8 GPM Pressure Pro from Bob. Saves a lot of back and forth even though you may be losing a little GPM on the rinsing. Try it and tell me what you think. I wish someone would have told me the first two years I was in buisness.
To much work using 2 different machines. Hoses get tangled, you have to roll them back up & at the end of the job you need to spend time running water through you 12 volt system. I just donāt see I being feasible. Time is $.

so you think a two-man team is a waste of time on a house wash? or are we talking about two different things
yeah, but how high can you shoot while still getting draw from your injector? can you reach second and third story without using a j-rod or switching tips?
Iām talking about 1 guy using 2 different machines to wash a home. Maybe I read the OP wrong.

cwininger. I do use the jrod. I just use the ball valve to cut injector on and off. You do lose a little distance but I can still usually get third floor when I close the ball valve down a little.
I thought the whole purpose of the j-rod was so that you could switch tips and the change in back pressure would cause the injector to draw or not draw.

it does, some people use it that way⦠However you back up to around 1,000 psi to not draw chems⦠Some guys market themselves as ālowā pressure⦠So if you just have a inline ball valve you can rinse at 200 psi or whatever psi you apply soap at⦠Even at 1000 psi the overspray looks like your pressure-washing, and image can be what sells the job to the neighborā¦
Like I said in the beginning of the posts⦠Everyone has their own method, and there is no ācorrectā way written in stoneā¦
cwininger All my tips in my jrod are low pressure tips that draw cleaners. I donāt use high pressure because I advertise low pressure cleaning. I only use pressure on concrete.
We have done it with the 12v and another guy rinsing behind. It sucks. Big time. We now runs 4 to soap and an 8 to rinse. It blows doors off of the 12v. Another trailer runs just an 8 to soap and rinse for a one man crew. This is still faster than one 12v soaping and an 8 rinsing.

Did a house today that was a bit of a pain. Half stucco and half vinyl. Stucco didnāt budge with the down streaming so I had to use my 12V pump and do a hot mix. House came out great in the end. Just be nice if I could get a good hot mix through my down stream injector.

Stucco is not the same as a house wash. I have x-jetted stucco before but roof pump is faster, quieter, and more predictable.
Downstream is for vinyl.
I agree 100% Brian. Before I got fired off of the truck, I soaped with an 8, he rinsed with a 10 and we never recorded more than $765.00 per hour.
No, that doesnāt happen all the time, or even that often, but a 12v pump is a poor substitute for an 8 gpm pressure washer for applying soap.
All a good learning curve. Now I know what to do for the future. While were on it Tim4 what is your preferred mix for stucco? I think my SH was weak cuz on some spots I had to run full strength to make anything happen.

Roof mix. Which is pretty much the same as house Wash mix (prior to downstreaming). Just be careful with the surfactant in Stucco mix because Roof Snot will take for flippinā ever to rinse off the wall. Donāt overdue the Snot.
Thatās great info but I canāt seem to get Roof snot here in Canada. Iāll have to keep digging around and find a supplier or a āCanadianā alternative
