Drone footage for the win!

What time were you washing @SchertzServicesLLC ? Were you allowed to do it during business hours?

During the day. They are 24 hour. I didn’t give them the option to do night work. We just shut down one entry at a time and quit at 3 each day for the after work rush.

Good stuff. Never heard of Hy-vee (must be a midwest thing). I’m east coast, but went to law school in Michigan, but their grocery store chains were Kroger (which were awesome).

H.E.B. grocery stores for the WIN!

A word of advice to those who think about getting a drone and filming the jobs. FAA requires you to take and pass part 107 test if you want to fly drone for business purposes. If you passed the test then disregard this. If not then I wouldn’t post my job videos online. You never know when FAA decides to make an example out of you. As a pilot myself I can guarantee you that FAA lives by the following motto: “We are not happy until you are not happy!”
Here is the link to the regulations. https://www.faa.gov/uas/commercial_operators/

It’s also a smart idea to have liability insurance when flying a UAV for commercial purposes in a public area. And… your drone must be registered with the FAA by law with the registration number clearly visible on the outside of the drone, even if flying for hobby. Failure to do so could result in a hefty fine.

I haven’t needed a drone license since 1776

Well the winner of the biggest miscommunication award goes to the store manager and district manager of this restaurant.

District manager wants sidewalks and dumpster pads washed quarterly and store manager thought he meant the entire parking lot. So today’s big “meeting” to drop off the estimate went from $5,600 one time to $325 every few months…

Also turned down a big Housewash with a bunch of ad on stuff when I pulled up to a faded aluminum sided house… can’t catch a break today I guess.

Most restaurants, quarterly is not often enough to keep up with the build-up. I just don’t get some of my accounts. Do you want your areas maintained and clean on a consistent basis, or just do them every so often when they are really bad…Just seems silly…

Well, this place has never had them done lol so they are stepping in the right direction.

A popular full-service concept that I have been courting for 6 months now. They self-clean with a power washer in each area (i think they are trying to say 1 POS washer in each district that gets moved around when the district manager remembers to take it to the next store). I politely send pictures to their facilities manager at corporate as well as have causal conversations with unit managers trying to get them to see the reality. Persistence, my friend…
