This happened to me one time but the good thing is the wood door was already pretty worn so it didn’t make a difference. Anytime I come across a wood door I open the door, cover in painters plastic cloth, and close the door like mentioned above. Obviously they have to be home to do that but I don’t often run across wood doors. If it’s a high end home I’ll ask them up front if they have a wood stained door.
