I just got the same call with the same pitch. Company is corporate communications out of Ontario.
I just contacted the realtor they name dropped and I guess it’s a legit thing. But be aware they are double and triple dipping on services.
Ya the company that contacted me was from Texas. I’m in florida.
The feeling I got from the realtor when I called was that this was a service they were contacted about. They are paying nothing or very little for the service and the contractors are being charged large amounts of money(595 dollars) is what I was told the price would be. It’s also non exclusive. Meaning my company plus as many other power washers as they could get would be in it.These packets would be giving to new home buyers. People who just spent 70-500k on a house. Just seems like a complete scam to me. I’ll have to go back at look at the packets I got when I purchased our last property and see if there is anything similar hidden in there. Anyone else know if this is a new approach on an old idea?
Weird. They told me I would be the exclusive washer with that branch. She said it’s for people trying to sell or rent their home. For added curb appeal and such.
I completely agree on charging as much as the traffic will bear…although, I sometimes drop the ball.
Actually, on the job above…it turned out to be more time consuming than I thought it would be.
Might be diffrent brands of the same concept but it seems too coincidental that we were both contacted within 3 days of each other…anyones else getting these calls.
There’s such an amazing range of business sizes on this forum. All the way from solo hobby businesses to those with many employees.
I think we should alll have a brief description Of our business on profile pages… then I’ll know the context to take someone’s advice in.
I had no idea you worked so little Jim. That’s fine, but it definantly explains why some of yiur suggestions have seemed a bit unusual to me in the past! No offence lol… I just understand the context relevant to you business better now

Just dont use bungee cords to strap your pressure washer onto your bicycle trailer and you’ll be golden

I retired a little early, got a little bored about a year later…this past May, and needed something to…this is my “get out of the house” gig.
I only want to work at most, parts of 2 days per week. But, like this week, I had that pretty big job for me, yesterday…so, I did not plan any other work this week. I have 2 houses on the same property scheduled for next week they will take about 6hrs for both…then I will be through until deer season ends on Jan 15. My next job will be on Jan 17th.

Idk I liked them. People thought they were too trendy and lost interest.
I work with a cen 21 in central fl. They have closed a lot of there branches. I didn’t have to pay to be in a directory. They pay when they get payed by home owner. Usually within a few weeks. I wouldn’t give them any money but that’s just me. Don’t get a ton of work either. A house every blue moon.
