Christmas Lights Paid Support

We used Jobber for quite a while, but there was some functionality missing (not sure if it was not in the software, or neve implemented on our end, it was on it’s way out when I got involved). Switched to ServiceTitan, but it just isn’t geared towards our business and workflow, and pricey. I’m open at this point, only requirement for me right now is smooth integration with ResponsiBid (which is definnitely going to be back to our primary quoting software system). Research commences this week. :man_student:

@JAtkinson @Cleaningbro Mind me asking how much you are charging per linear ft? I am seeing numbers all over the place $3-$9/ft. I understand everyone has different overhead but with myself being a smaller operation I don’t want to undercut others in the industry.

Last year we started at $7/ft first story $8/ft 2 story and then up charge for any pita factors. I know some companies start at $10/ft I just don’t see how its a pretty shocking price for my customers already lol

Probably around $9-10 in most cases. It can fluctuate by a couple of dollars/ft either way for ground lighting vs. the peak of a crazy steep roof though… Like anything, you have to know what your strengths and weaknesses are and what things will really take for you. One of our competitors is a landscaper, another is a commercial sign company. Our guys are good getting on roofs as needed, etc. The sign guy has bucket trucks already. We each have our lane that we fit into, the limiting factor is installation capacity, not the market.

And if you’re doing quality professional grade work, and pricing it correctly, it will be a sticker shock for most people. It’s an ultra-premium service. Everyone thinks that they fit that category, until they hear what some other people spend. Our 2nd smallest install client (who is grandfathered in at maybe 70% of our current minimum) makes a comment every year to the tune of “for all the money I’m spending…”
