Chemicals for Oil Removal?

There are many ways to change the look of this drive, you could stain it a darker color, after cleaning what you can off there. You could paint it with portland, which is a short term fix and in the northern climates it won’t last long. You can also resurface it with a coating after cleaning it. Just thought I would post some other ideas you can tell the homeowners to look into.

Here are his choices - dig it up and pour a new drive (best choice) - or pay you enough to go rent a hot water unit, use a strong hydroxide based cleaner on it as long as you don’t let it go in the storm drain and you’re still going to see a strong shadow of the stain - paint it (cheapest route) - or there are companies that put down an epoxy like coating similar to Kool deck, like around a pool that will last 6-10 years - or go with some BT200 ( BT200™ | EatOils ) but it’s a multi step process.

And yeah, he probably only wants to spend $200 to get it done, lol. If he doesn’t have decent budget then walk away

Does that BT200 work just as well diluted ? Because that’s pricy compared to some other degreasers

Read the instructions. It’s not a degreaser per se. Just look through their site at the pics, videos etc

any pic updates yet? intrigued.

Oil dri worked great. It definitely hides the stain very well. I was unable to finish though as the customer decided before I even came back to finish that they wanted to just have it resurfaced. They paid me in full anyways and I went on my way :man_shrugging:
